Marc Schumacher
Global Wealth Management
Mr. Schumacher is a senior vice president and account manager in the Zurich office. He is responsible for growing PIMCO’s Switzerland-based global wealth management business, covering cantonal banks, regional banks, private banks, and independent asset managers. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2020, he was an executive director with AllianceBernstein Switzerland, responsible for the entire wholesale business in Switzerland. Previously, Mr. Schumacher was at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, focused on the cantonal and regional banks business in Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked as an investment consultant at Bank Vontobel and as a fund selector for the private banking division at Credit Suisse. He has 18 years of investment experience and holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from ETH Zurich and a master’s degree in earth sciences from the University of Bern. He is a CIIA charterholder.
