Georgi Popov
Product Strategist
Mr. Popov is a senior vice president and fixed income strategist in the Newport Beach office, focusing on inflation protection and real asset solutions. Previously, he held roles in defined contribution solutions and U.S. financial institutions groups. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2013, he was a macroeconomist at Nationwide Insurance, developing quantitative models and forecasts. He was also a member of Nationwide’s Economic Council. Previously, he was an analyst at JPMorgan Chase. He has 16 years of investment and financial services experience and holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Toledo. He also holds an MBA in analytic finance and economics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.
